Pretty good wine docs

I got the annual subscription after seeing a friend post about it. I've watched a few of the documentaries, mostly 'Wine Masters Spain,' and they're pretty interesting. The streaming works fine on my laptop. It's a nice way to learn about wine without having to read a bunch of books. Overall, it was a good experience.

Great value on annual plan

I was looking to get into wine education but didn't want to break the bank. I noticed they had a deal on the annual streaming subscription, which was a pretty good discount compared to monthly. It felt like I was getting a lot for my money, especially with all the different series like 'Wine Masters Italy' and 'The Wild Side of Wine' included. The content is super informative, and the production quality is high. I think it was definitely worth the purchase for the amount of learning I'm getting. Practical and budget-conscious, just how I like it.

Loved the sommelier videos

I signed up for the monthly subscription and was so impressed with the sommelier training videos! The content is fantastic. I learned so much already, and I'm only halfway through. I'm going to keep my subscription going for sure. You have to check this out!

Solid education, minor glitch

I subscribed for the annual streaming to watch the 'Master of Wine course' content. The educational value is high, and the experts are very knowledgeable. Delivery of the service was instant, which was great. The video quality is generally excellent. However, I did encounter one small issue where a specific video on 'grape variety masterclasses' buffered more than usual, but it eventually resolved itself after refreshing. Customer service wasn't needed, as I sorted it out. Overall, it's a worthwhile platform for wine education, just a tiny hiccup with one stream that day.

Good content, easy access

I ordered the annual streaming subscription and had no issues. The purchase process was straightforward, and I got access immediately. Delivery wasn't applicable since it's a digital service. The quality of the 'Wine Masters France' series was excellent, very well-produced with high-quality video and sound. I watched it on my smart TV, and it streamed smoothly without buffering. Customer support wasn't needed, which is a good sign. The platform is user-friendly, and I found it easy to navigate through the different documentaries and masterclasses. It's exactly what I was looking for to deepen my wine knowledge. Definitely recommend for serious wine enthusiasts.

Thinking of getting an annual sub. Are there usually good deals around Black Friday or should I just go for it now?

J Jason W. 4 days ago
Yeah, they almost always do a Black Friday sale. I got my annual plan like 25% off last year during that time.

They usually have something in November for sure. If you can wait, it's probably worth it.

Can I download any of these videos to watch offline, like on a plane?

J Jacob Sanchez 4 weeks ago
I don't think so, I've looked for that feature and haven't found it. It's all streaming, I believe.

Unfortunately no, I tried to download a few for a trip and it wasn't an option. Gotta be connected to watch.

If I buy a gift card for a friend, how do they actually use it? Is it just a code they punch in?

W William Lopez 3 days ago
Yeah, it's just a code. They go to the site, sign up, and there's a spot at checkout to enter the gift code. Pretty straightforward.

My dad used one I sent him. It just gave him credit for the subscription when he signed up, applied automatically at checkout.

Can I actually watch this on my big screen TV? Or is it just for computers?

E Elizabeth T. 1 week ago
Yep, I watch it on my Roku with no problem. I think they have apps for most smart TVs or you can cast it.

D Danielle Martin 1 week ago
You can definitely cast it from your phone or tablet to a smart TV, that's what I do. Looks great on a bigger screen.

Are the certificates they give out for the Master Class actually recognized, or is it just for fun?

S Sam J. 4 weeks ago
They're more for personal achievement and showing you've completed the course. It's not like a WSET or actual sommelier certification that's universally recognized in the industry for employment, if that's what you mean.
3
L Linda E. 4 weeks ago
It's not an official industry cert, no. Good for your own learning and showing dedication, but don't expect it to get you a job as a sommelier.
